40 SAR / Saturday, September 22, 2007
Alright, got my posting to the unit... I got into 40 SAR which is Armour... As what? Armour Infantry. I have no idea what is it about. Ask me if I would like to know whether it's tough or not? For now, my answer will be no interest. Haha. The word 'infantry' can hardly escape from PES A soldier. Tough or not, I still have to go through. No point worrying and crying my ass off. Haha. I'm sure every unit and vocation will have different toughness.

Actually, came to think about it, staying in isn't that bad though. I've spent nearly 600 bucks during the two weeks long block leave. Basically, I've spent them on entertainment and food. Think about it, I'm feeling abit of a heartache now. Hahaha. Got to learn to save more as I heard there will be numerous oversea training for my vocation. Haha. But I still have the phobia on the food provided by the cookhouse... Haha. Imagine in Tekong for 3 months, already feel the shit in my mouth. 1 year 9 month in my unit.... errr... anyway, I'm sure it's better than combat ration... Haha.

Okay, I need to sleep early. Must try hard to sleep early. This post ends here.

BMTC Days / Wednesday, September 19, 2007
Another 'once in a blue moon' entry made by zjr. It has been a long time since my very last entry. Feel kind of uneasy to start another entry. The reason? Where the heck should I start? I'll just summarize what happened in army life...

Everyone kept asking me 'How's army?', 'Siong or not?' and many many 'Army questions'. The conclusion for my 3 months long BMT stint will be summed up in a simple sentence. That would be 'Routine life with restricted freedom that were under the control of commanders.' Everyday involved eating, training, lecture and sleeping. No entertainment, no television, shortage of newspaper and not even board games. That's why I've got nothing to blog except armY, arMY, aRMY and AMRY. Haha. Seriously, I don't know a shit about what happened around the world during the past 3 months.

So... The past 3 months, I got to know this batch of soldiers... They called themselves soldiers... Haha... I still don't regard myself as a soldier... Cos soldier don't keng as much as we do... Cos soldier don't complain as much as we do... Cos soldier takes pride in whatever task given...

Nowadays, the so-called 3G soldiers, cannot tahan rain or shine. Whenever it rains, siren will be sounded. Cat 1 Cat 1... 3G soldiers will be cheering and started dancing around like members of Music and Dance group. Then we will walk under shelter as rain drops will make us melt like ice cream. When the siren came again, 3G soldiers will moan like there's no tomorrow. This time round, it will be Normal Weather, Normal Weather. Althought I like rainy days, but I don't make exaggerate actions. I'll just stand at one corner, praying for the rain to drop. Haha.

Another interesting fact about the 3G soldiers is that they are not afraid of officer. You think I must be kidding right? Dey... I'm not refering to 2nd Lieutenant, 1st Lieutenant or even Captain in respective company. 3G soldiers love to visit the medical officer known as the MO. I was appointed as the report sick IC and there were alot of different cases which were interesting. Imagine someone who can get sick for almost 3 or 4 consecutive weekends... See MO for small blister which can made them walk like jumbo elephant... Actually it's really easy to identify who chao keng or not... Cos the same names kept repeating itself...

It's hilarious to call ourselves as the soldiers... Seriously, I'm not criticizing anybody in my company or platoon. I just wanna share some interesting fact about 3G soldiers. I've gone through so many events such as Range, Field Camp, SIT test, BAC, Route March and the most important things that I've learned is the behaviour of human in desperate situation. People get selfish whenever they are tired. It's still an unacceptable truth which I gonna accept. Even myself, I got selfish. Maybe it's human nature....

So do I miss a single part of BMT life? Saying no isn't right. I do miss some fellow idiots who shared cup noodles with me. Haha. And also some retards who shared their happiness and sadness with me. But overall, I kept a very low profile in the company to distance myself from unneccessary troubles. All I want is to serve and go. I don't wanna excel in the army as it's not something that I'm interested. Made a few friends in the company and kinda happy to have them in life. As for most of them, they are passer-bys and maybe will get to meet again. To sum up everything, I shall present some pictures taken during my BMT days....

Picture 1: So this is Pegasus Platoon 4, although it still can't gel like a platoon. This was taken during the OC evening. Afterall, it was a funny day.

Picture 2: Shagged faces can be seen in this picture. We didn't bath for 6 days 5 nights. That was the officer who stunned my rifle and never wanted to give it back. A memorable way to remember him...

Picture 3: Taken during the farewell party for the officer who stunned my rifle. Haha. This is the awful admin shirt which we wore over the 3 months.

Picture 4: And again... The officer who stole my rifle... haha... Those botaks were the ones who slept, shit, bath, eat, crap with me in the same room for the past 3 months. Btw, that officer who stole my rifle can do 50 pull up or maybe MORE....
