MLM / Monday, October 02, 2006
Oh well, I feel like sharing something with you guys here, it's something about the multi-level marketing. Maybe you may not know what is multi-level marketing. It's inconvenient to name some of the examples as I don't wish to create trouble. It works like this. You have to invest or spend a sum of money to create an account. After gotta your account, you will need to get people to join your connection and to create a link (something like an pyramid). There are alot more factors involved, but I'm not going into detail as I'm not here to promote it.

The tactic used by the member of the Multi-Level Marketing Company is basically the same. These people will suddenly called you outta the blue and are so desperately wanting to meet you, even they are not close with you. They will give reasons like 'long time never meet up', 'wanna share something very profitable' or even 'wanna be your own boss'. All these are just pure bullshit. Personally, I don't hate these people, I just don't like them. Like what my friend has told me, they are using friendship as an excuse to meeting up with you for an money earning opportunity.

Thinking back, I had countless of this experience in the past two or three years. They used every ways and means to lied and cheated me. These 'friend' of mine had lost my trust in them and we had lost contact between each other. I have got one really close Malay friend who was my secondary school friend. She joined an MLM company and changed into another person. She used to be a wonderful person, but right now, the sight of her is just devil to me. Yeah, money is almost everything, but you know, there is something that you can't buy even if you have lotsa cash.

I'm not here to talk bad about MLM. In the future, it might be the next big thing in the business world. But what I'm trying to highlight are that money isn't everything and friendship can be so fragile. If there are still some friends here who trying to get me to join such company, please please save your breath and don't spoil the friendship. It's not worth it.
